لا زلت أذكر لاري نتر الصديق الذي واظب على زيارتي مرة في كل شهر في مقر عملي في مدينة مانيتو سبرينغز بولاية كولورادو الأمريكية. كان لاري يعمل في جهاز أمن سجن مدينة لايمن المتاخمة لحدود ولاية كانساس وهي مدينة صغيرة يعتمد اقتصادها برمته على إيرادات السجن المُخصصة له من حكومة الولاية. كان لاري يعود لمدينة مانيتو في كل شهر مرة ليقضي إجازته حيث تقيم زوجته.
دارَ حوار بيني وبين صديق لي حول موقعنا الإليكتروني وهذه المدونة بالذات حيث علّقت بأن عدد القراءات لبعض المواضيع قد يصل إلى المئات ولكن المشاركات قليلة جدا بل تكاد تكون معدومة في معظم الأحيان.
8 إبريل 2007 إقتربت ببطئ شديد من منضدتها حيث بدت على وجهي آثار الإستغراب وكأن تقاطيع وجهي بادرت بسؤالها عما تفعله وزميلتها التي بدت منهمكة في حديث طويل مع زائر آخر. وكأنها لمحت حيرتي فبادرت هي بسؤالي: أتعرف كفيفاً؟
عدت للتو من زيارة لمنطقتي الرياض والقصيم في المملكة العربية السعودية وكعادتي عند قضاء زيارتي للسعودية ينتابني ذات الشعور الصارخ والذي لا أُحسن التعبير عنه. هذه الزيارة زادت من إصراري على التسريع من فتح فرع للناطق في السعودية أكثر من أي وقت مضى. كما زاد ذلك من إصراري على ضرورة قضائي وقتا أكثر مما كنت أخطط له في السعودية بين المكفوفين هناك. أود أن أشكرا جميع الزملاء الذين كلفوا على أنفسهم وإقتطعوا من وقتهم الثمين للقائي في الرياض والقصيم. كما أعتذر أشد الإعتذار لزملائي وأصدقائي في المنطقة الشرقية والمنطقة الغربية لعدم تمكني من زيارتهم حيث تضارب وقتي مع زيارتي القادمة لأمريكا والتي تحتاج إلى تحضير كثيف. وأعدهم بأن أزورهم في المرة القادمة إن شاء الله.
