The popular Jordanian comedy star, Mr. Nabil Sawalha, purchased the second bach of Hal software which was shipped mid this week to Jordan. The packages will be distributed among some lucky blind Jordanians.
Due to increading public demand, Ebsar Foundation is conducting training on Arabic Hal screen reader. The foundation was committed, during the last four years, to training on a competing product.

A Nattiq representative was invited last week by one of the organizers to attend the founding of the Arab Blind Federation. The activity was conducted in Qatar between August 5 - 8 2007 and was observed by representatives of the Arab League. 12 Countries from the Arab World representing Asia and Africa attended the founding conference. Nattiq was the only company invited to the conference.
Hal's friends are welcoming a new release of map files. The file makes one of the greatest libraries fully accessible with Hal. New short-cuts were created making navigation through the library possible. The attached podcast explains how the map file was requested.
Nattiq is expected to add two additional engines to Talks, mobile screen reader, represented in Nawfal and Adam in addition to the existing Saieda.
Many users requested a TTS with a males's voice especially those who reside in Saudi Arabia. The addition of the two new engines along with Saida's femal voice will provide users with the different voice options they expect.
Nattiq Technologies delivered a one-week training on Hal screen reader in Kuwait. The training was requested and sponsored by The Kuwaiti Association for the Blind in Kuwait City. The Association selected a group of qualified members who had basic keyboard and computer knowledge to receive the training.
