A few hours after uploading Arabic Talks files on Nattiq's website, observations and positive feedback was flying through the wave lines in the Middle East. Support of additional handsets as well as browsing the Net with Talks was the most exciting development for the majority of Arab blind users. The technical teams of Nattiq and Dolphin are pleased to announce a fix which takes care of the accurate reading of the System Tray in Windows. Users of Hal and Supernova version 7.xx and 8.xx may now turn to their automatic internet update found in the control panel of Hal to obtain this fix. The problem was reported by a few Hal users and was systematically solved.
Talks continues it dominance among blind Arabic-speaking users int the Middle East with its rapid development and excellent technical support services.
Nattiq demonstrated Hal Pen to a group of blind users at the Emirates Association for the Blind in the UAE. Many of the Association's members, who happen to be loyal Hal users, were very pleased with Hal Pen as they took turns in plugging the pen into different available computers and hear it read the screen right away.
Members of Kuwiat's Association for the Blind were pleasantly surprised when they attended a demonstration conducted by Nattiq Technologies. Hal Pen was received warmly causing members who attended the demonstration to call their colleagues who didn't to explain to them what they witnessed.
Nattiq started shipping the latest release of Hal 8.02 to new customers. Existing customers will be able to upgrade to the new version in the next few days. Hal version 8.02 is the only localized Arabic screen reader which runs under both Windows Vista and XP. For those users who try Vista and decide to go back to XP, version 8.02 will accommodate them.
