ما عليك إلا أن توجه الجهاز نحو المادة التي تود أن تقرأها سواء كانت بعيدة أو قريبة. إضغط على أحد الأزرار المتخصصة وإحفظ تلك المادة على ذاكرة الجهاز. ويستطيع الجهاز حفظ مائة (100) صورة للمواد المراد قرائتها ومعاينتها حيث يستطيع المستخدم أن يكبر الخط ويصغره ويستطيع التحكم في خصائص العرض مثل لون الخط ولون الخلفية. كما يستطيع أن يُمرِّر النص إلى الأعلى أو الأسفل أو اليمين أو اليسار.
يُمكِن جهاز فارفيو المستخدم من رؤية إشارات الطرق وكذلك شاشات مواعيد المغادرة في المطارات أو حتى إختيار نوع القهوة المفضلة والمعروض سعرها على قوائم الطعام والشراب. فالجهاز مفيد جدا في المنزل أو المدرسة أو الجامعة أو المكتب أو المنزل.
