خرائط الهال ترقى بالكفيف إلى مستوى نفاذ أعلى للمعلومات
لن يتحقق النفاذ الفعلي للكفيف إلى نظم المعلومات إذا لم ينفذ إلى الموسوعات. فالموسوعات هي مجموعة البرامج التطبيقية التي يتم تطويرها على أقراص مدمجة من قَبَل شركات ومؤسسات خاصة وعامة ويؤدي استخدامها إلى تسدية خدمة للمستخدم. مطورو مثل تلك الموسوعات والبرامج يغفلون عن حقيقة أن هنالك مستخدمين غير قادرين على استخدام الفأرة مما يؤدي إلى إنتاج موسوعات تعجز البرامج القارءة للشاشة عن تصفحها أو مجرد التعامل معها.
ومن أهم ما يُميز برنامج الهال هو قدرته على التأقلم مع مثل تلك الموسوعات والبرامج التطبيقية بحيث ينفذ إليها الكفيف بواسطته دون عناء أو مشقة.
ويتم ذلك بواسطة ملفات الخارطة التي ينشأها المتخصصون في برنامج الهال من المحترفيين والمهتمين. ويشمل تطوير ملفات الخارطة إيجاد مجموعة من الإختصارات التي تُسهل نفاذ الكفيف إلى الموسوعة أو البرنامج. ويستطيع مستخدم الهال الضغط على مفتاح Control اليمين مع Shift اليمين مع إشارة الإستفهام ؟ للحصول على قائمة الإرشادات والإختصارات المتعلقة بالبرنامج أو الموسوعة.
وبذلك يقترب الكفيف أكثر فاكثر إلى النفاذ الفعلي إلى جبل المعلومات المتوفر على الأقراص المدمجة والموسوعات دون أن يشعر بالحرمان كما كان يشعر قبل إنطلاق برنامج الهال.
ومن المتوقع أن يواصل الهال التأقلم مع موسوعات أخرى في المستقبل بجهود الطاقم الفني لشركة الناطق والذي بدأ يُركز على إنتاج ملفات خارطة إضافية لفتح آفاق جديدة للكفيف.
