بعد وقت ليس بالطويل أعلنت شركة Apple أنها تنوي دخول سوق أجهزة الهواتف المحمولة بانية توقعات طموحة على قدرتها في إقتطاع حجما ليس بالقليل من كعكة سوق الجوال المحمول والذي بات من أكثر الأسواق ربحا. ولم لا وهي الشركة التي استحوذت على عقول الشباب وغيرهم من العملاء الآخرين بجهاز صغير يُدعى iPod. ويجمع جهاز iPhone خصائص كلا الجهازين iPod وجهاز الجوال موفرا على العملاء عناء إقتناء جهازين منفصلين. وبالفعل بدأ جهاز iPhone يحقق مكاسب متوقعة مما أثار رودو فعل بعض المنافسين.
واليوم أعلتت شركة i-Mate أنها سوف تطلق في شهر سبتمبر القادم جهازا جديدا يُدعى جهاز Ultimate والذي يُتوقع أن يفوق جهاز iPhone بنسبة 30 بالمائة من حيث الإمكانيات والقدرات حسب إدعاء الشركة. ومن أهم مميزات ذلك الجهاز هو القدرة على الإتصال بجهاز تلفاز مُسطح بحجم 42 بوصة لتشغيل أفلام الفيديو من جهاز Ultimate مباشرة. وماذا بعد؟ بإمكان الجهاز أن يتصل بشبكة الإنترنت مباشرة دون وسيط كجهاز الكمبيوتر ومنفذ USB لتنزيل الملفات الصوتية وغيرها من ملفات الوسائط المتعددة بوقت قياسي قصير. أما سعة التنزيل والتحميل فتبلغ 3.6MB مقارنة مع 128KB للجهاز المنُافس. ومن المعلوم أن برنامج الهال يدعم أجهزة i-Mate والذي يُتوقع أن يحقق نجاح في إكتساب عددا كبيرا من العملاء. وبدعم برنامج الهال لأجهزة i-Mate نأمل أن يكون للكفيف حظا من هذه التقنيات المتنافسة.
لا أعتقد أن شركة Apple سوف تقف مكتوفة الأيدي. وكالعادة فإن الحرب سجال.
