الإمكانيات الواجب توافرها في جهاز الكمبيوتر لتحميل هال العربي يتطلب الإصدار الأخير من هال العربي ويندوز أن.تي. 4.0 أو ويندوز 2000 أو ويندوزأكس.بي. ويعمل هال على كمبيوتر مفرد أو على شبكة أو على لاب توب محمول، ويحتاج هال للمواصفات التالية: أ- انترنت إكسبلورار 5.0 أو أحدث. ب- إنتل بنتيوم 2 بسرعة 400 ميجا هرتز أو أسرع من ذلك. ت- 125 ميجابايت من القرص الصلب أو أكثر. ث- 128 ميجابايت من الذاكرة أو أكثر. ج- كارت شاشة من نوع بي.سي.أي. أو إيه.جي.بي. ويشترط أن لا تكون من النوع المثبت على اللوحة الأم. ح- كارت صوت من المتوافق مع ساوند بلاستر على أن لا يكون من النوع المثبت على اللوحة الأم. خ- يجب أن يكون النظام داعماً للغة العربية، فيما يلي خطوات تعريب الويندوز:1- اذهب إلىقائمة إبدأ Start في الويندوز2- اذهب إلى لوحة التحكم control panel3- ثم اختر regional and language options4- ستظهر لك ثلاث خيارات, اختر language , وذلك باستخدام الكونترول يسار مع التاب.5- ستفتح لك نافذة بها مربعي حوار, حدد اختيار المربع الأول, سيطلب منك إدخال اسطوانة الويندوز6- أدخل الإسطوانة حتى يتم الإنتهاء من تنزيل الملفات ثم سيطلب منك إعادة تشغيل الجهاز, اضغط موافق وانتظر إعادة التشغيل.
