Friendship Association for the Blind, FABJO, in Jordan announced that it launched an initiative to offer free Arabic Daisy books directly from its website, http://fabjo.org. FABJO invested earlier last year in acquiring tools and equipment to start creating Arabic DAISY books. Nattiq Technologies delivered the required infrastructure to FABJO as well as the specialized training.
Nattiq's technical team completed the creation of a map file for the latest version of Almaktaba Alshamila 3.28. An encyclopedia which contains hundreds ofbooks useful for students, teachers, scholars and all other reading lovers. Nattiq continues to be committed to enable blind users in the Middle East have access to popular software titles.
Funded by Alnoor Association in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Friends of the Blind Association in Ramallh distributed 50 lap tops equipped with Hal to blind candidates who could utilize the equipment at work or school. The distribution of the gifts was conducted in a ceremony attended by Her Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs in the Palestinian Authory Madam Majida Almasri.

Alawq Albasari in Buraidah starts another training campaign to train more than 70 blind men and woman on Hal. The project is funded by Aljazera Bank and will result in granting all participants with a lap top and Hal Arabic screen reader. More than 200 blind beneficiaries are expected to benefit from such grants between now and the end of the year.
