وصلنا بالأمس خبر وفاة صاحب فكرة برنامج التولكس السيد تورستن براند والذي وافته المنية قبل بضع أيام في ألمانيا. وقد كان تورستن من أحد ضيوف مؤتمر أبوظبي في شهر مارس الماضي. ويعتقد البعض بأن رحيل تورستن يمثل نهاية عهد من الإبداع وإستمرار التطوير. ننقل تعازينا الحارة لأسرة تورستن وشريكه في التطوير السيد ماركوس غروبر.
أطلقت جميعة الصداقة للمكفوفين في الأردن موقعها الإليكتروني الجديد بمفاجأة رفع كتب ديزي بأصوات إحترافية آدمية. ومن أهم العناوين التي تم رفعها التالي:

نستعرض معكم أصدقائنا في هذا التسجيل عينة من صوت آلة النطق الجديدة نزار والتي من المتوقع أن تنطلق مع إنطلاقة برنامج الهال قريبا إن شاء الله. نتطلع قدما لإستلام ملاحظاتكم وتعليقاتكم على الصوت الجديد.
تم إستحداث قائمة بريدية لأصدقاء جهاز البرايل سينس بلس وسائر المهتمين من أجل تيسير خدمتهم بشكل أسرع وأكفأ. ونهيب بسائر الأصدقاء ممن يقتنون الجهاز بالتسجيل في هذه القائمة حتى تتيسر لنا خدمتهم وتوصيل كل المستجدات لهم والتواصل معهم فيما يهمهم من باب مشاركة بعضنا لتجارب الآخرين بالإضفافة إلى توصيل المستجدات والتحديثات والتطويرات الطارئة على الجهاز.
نستعرض في هذه المساحة أهم المشاهدات المتعلقة بمؤتمر أبوظبي والذي إختتم فعالياته في 25 مارس 2010 حيث أبدى عدد ليس بالقليل من الأصدقاء رغبتهم في معرفة التفاصيل المختلفة المتعلقة بالمؤتمر سواء فيما يتعلق بأوراق العمل أو الورشات أو معرض التقنيات أو الكوادر التي تمت دعوتها إلى المؤتمر للمشاركة فيه وأدائهم والمثير بالإضافة إلى المستجدات التي تم طرحها في المؤتمر.
